The class has been working hard in PLTW with Mrs. Johnson. They have learned about conductors and insulators and are applying their knowledge to help solve a problem about how to keep an ice pop cold. They have designed and built a product that they think with keep their ice pop cold for an extended period of time. Take a look below at some of their work...
We have been hard in work in 2nd grade! In reading, we have finished our first unit in reading and we are moving on to Unit 2. In this unit we will learn about informational texts and how readers can be thinking about growing their knowledge by noticing details and asking questions. In Writing, we have been publishing our stories on the Google drive. Students are typing the stories by themselves and will be illustrating their books as well. Our next unit will cover how to write informational texts. We have finished our first unit in Math as well. Next week, we will begin to focus on place value.
